Baghdad Operations Command Details Security Measures for Upcoming Elections

The Media adn Communications ‍Director of Baghdad Operations Command outlined security measures for Iraq’s parliamentary elections.

According to the⁣ English section of​ webangah News Agency, citing WAE news ⁤agency ⁤via ⁤Mehr News Agency, Abbas Hamid, Media and Communications Director of the Baghdad Operations Command, announced that the command is ⁣actively executing ⁢its missions⁣ through ⁤security units in⁢ the Ministries ‌of Defense, ‍Interior, and ‍affiliated intelligence ​agencies. Their goal is ⁤to secure a⁣ safe ​and stable environment⁤ that ‍allows citizens to attend polling centers ⁣and vote ​freely.

he added there is close⁣ coordination with offices of the Independent High Electoral Commission and deployed forces, as well⁣ as media outlets⁣ and satellite channels to provide accurate coverage⁢ of the legal, national, and democratic electoral process in Baghdad.

The ⁣Iraqi official highlighted that ‍directives from ⁢both ‍the Supreme security Committee and​ its ⁢subordinate committee in Baghdad emphasize no⁢ restrictions on vehicles or citizens ⁤on roads to⁢ ensure smooth traffic flow.

He ‌also reported that police forces and traffic control units are stationed across various areas to facilitate voter movement.

Abbas Hamid stated that no security violations have occurred so far.
