Baghdad Operations Command Details Security Measures for Upcoming Elections

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing WAE news agency via Mehr News Agency, Abbas Hamid, Media and Communications Director of the Baghdad Operations Command, announced that the command is actively executing its missions through security units in the Ministries of Defense, Interior, and affiliated intelligence agencies. Their goal is to secure a safe and stable environment that allows citizens to attend polling centers and vote freely.
he added there is close coordination with offices of the Independent High Electoral Commission and deployed forces, as well as media outlets and satellite channels to provide accurate coverage of the legal, national, and democratic electoral process in Baghdad.
The Iraqi official highlighted that directives from both the Supreme security Committee and its subordinate committee in Baghdad emphasize no restrictions on vehicles or citizens on roads to ensure smooth traffic flow.
He also reported that police forces and traffic control units are stationed across various areas to facilitate voter movement.
Abbas Hamid stated that no security violations have occurred so far.
