Israeli Media: Tel Aviv Rejects Kushner’s Request on Hamas

Israeli media revealed ⁣that Tel Aviv rejected Trump’s son-in-law’s⁢ request regarding Hamas.

According to the English section of webangah News⁤ Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Sputnik, Israeli media reported that the ‍Israeli cabinet ⁣declined a request from Jared Kushner, son-in-law of former US President‌ Donald Trump, concerning the Hamas ⁣movement.

According to Israel’s public broadcasting corporation, during ‍his visit to the ‍occupied territories, ⁣Kushner asked ⁢Tel Aviv to release 200 members of Hamas trapped ⁣in Rafah city in southern Gaza ‍Strip.

The report added that ⁤Tel Aviv’s refusal⁤ could deepen tensions between Israel and the US ⁢government.

The Israeli broadcaster ⁢also reported that Kushner requested Israeli officials allow these individuals to be transferred to Hamas-controlled areas ‍within Gaza. He assured they would surrender their weapons so Gaza could become a weapons-free zone.

Separately, Al Jazeera cited Israeli sources reporting that assessments⁣ in Tel Aviv indicate the ongoing crisis over the Rafah‍ tunnel ‌will be⁣ resolved because Washington will not ‌permit any action that could⁢ undermine the agreement.

Channel 12 news from Israel also quoted American sources stating Washington seeks a resolution for the armed forces issue in Rafah so as not to halt implementation stages of the agreement.

The channel further noted that even though ⁤it might take several more days, ‌progress is underway toward resolving Hamas forces’ crisis in Rafah.
