French Foreign Minister: U.S. Actions in the Caribbean Violate International Law

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Reuters via Mehr News Agency, ​Jean-Yves Le​ Drian, speaking on the sidelines ‌of the G7 Foreign⁢ Ministers meeting in‌ Canada, warned that recent US military ‌actions‍ in the Caribbean contravene international law.

He added that Paris is ⁣monitoring these developments with concern,as over one million French citizens live in the region,and any escalation could threaten ⁣their safety.

The⁣ United States has conducted at least 19 attacks against vessels suspected of drug trafficking in the Caribbean Sea and along Pacific coastlines, resulting‍ in 76 deaths.
