Pakistan Warns of Possible Attacks on Areas Within Afghan Territory

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Khawaja Muhammad Asif told Geo News that pakistan may carry out strikes inside Afghanistan following recent attacks in Islamabad and South Waziristan.
He did not rule out operations on Afghan soil, stating, “Those supported by the Afghan Taliban have repeatedly attacked us.”
The Pakistani official expressed doubt over the Taliban authorities’ sincerity and credibility after their Foreign Ministry condemned the recent terrorist attack in islamabad.
Asif emphasized, “Pakistan will never initiate any military adventure but will not allow any aggressive act to go unanswered.”
The defense minister added, “We will respond with strength and determination.”
The Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan claimed obligation for Tuesday’s terrorist attack in Islamabad. The presence of some elements of this terror group in Afghanistan has heightened tensions between Kabul and Islamabad.
