Trump Sends Official Letter to Herzog Requesting Netanyahu’s Pardon

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, Isaac Herzog, president of the regime, announced that he had received an official letter from US President Donald Trump. In the letter, Trump called on him to grant a full pardon to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Trump’s letter, written on official White House stationery, refers to Netanyahu as a strong leader whose focus should not be distracted by these issues.
Trump described the legal cases against Netanyahu as politically motivated and unfair. He stated that it is time to pardon “Bibi” and end this judicial conflict.
The office of the regime’s president responded by saying that Herzog holds great respect for Trump and has continuously praised his unconditional support and key role in strengthening Israel’s security. However,they added that anyone seeking a pardon must formally apply according to regulations.
Trump requested netanyahu’s pardon amid ongoing international legal proceedings against the prime minister concerning alleged war crimes in Gaza.
