Russia: Moscow Ready to Talk If Ukraine Shows Political Will

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News‍ Agency and Anadolu Agency, alexey ⁢Ivanov, Russia’s chargé d’affaires in Turkey,⁣ announced today, Wednesday, that moscow is prepared to‍ resume talks with ⁤Ukraine in Istanbul. however, Kyiv has ⁤yet to respond to previous ‌proposals.

Speaking ​to TASS news agency, Ivanov said ⁤the Russian side has repeatedly emphasized its readiness for ⁣direct negotiations with ⁣Ukraine. He added ⁣that their Turkish ⁢partners have consistently stressed that⁤ the Istanbul framework‍ remains⁤ available ⁢- “the doors are ⁢still open.”

Ivanov noted that Russia has previously offered several plans, including a proposal to establish​ three⁤ online working groups.‌ Unluckily, he said, no positive response has been ⁢received from Ukraine so far.

He‍ concluded by saying Moscow remains ready⁢ for dialogue ⁢”if Kyiv demonstrates political will.”
