Israeli Forces Set Fire to Mosque in the West Bank

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera via Mehr News Agency, Israeli settlers set fire to sections of a mosque northwest of the city of Salfit in the West Bank on Thursday. They also sprayed racist slogans on its walls.
Palestinians living in the area intervened to prevent the complete destruction of the mosque; though,several copies of the Quran and parts of its walls were burned.
The arson attack on Al-Hajja Hamida Mosque by Israeli settlers drew strong condemnation from various Palestinian groups, including Hamas and the Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf (Religious Endowments).
The ministry declared this act a heinous crime that violates all international laws and customs related to respecting holy sites.
Hamas condemned the attack as well,emphasizing that Israeli settlers have deeply offended muslim religious sentiments and called for immediate international action against such violations.
