US Attacks Another Ship in the Caribbean

The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr news agency, reported that CBS News stated the US military targeted another ship in the Caribbean Sea under the pretext of combating drug traffickers, resulting in four fatalities.
A US Department of Defense official confirmed that this attack occurred on Tuesday.
Since September, the United States has targeted 20 vessels in international waters, causing 80 deaths as a result of these strikes.
The American newspaper The Washington Post reported today that with the arrival of the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford into Caribbean waters, Venezuela has placed all its armed forces on high alert.
The report interpreted increased US military presence near Venezuela’s borders as a sign of a possible escalation of US military operations in the Caribbean Sea. it noted that Washington might target Venezuelan military bases and airports.
Although US officials have stated their increased military presence aims to fight drug trafficking, Latin American leaders-including Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro-have called on all countries in the region to prepare to respond to any potential US provocations.
