Wreckage of Turkish Plane Found

Turkish sources have reported the revelation of the wreckage of a Turkish firefighting plane that went missing while returning from Croatia ‍to Turkey ⁣in a forested area.

According to the English section of webangah News ⁣Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and‍ Anadolu, Ibrahim Yumakli, Turkey’s Minister of Agriculture and Forestry,‌ announced that the wreckage of the‍ Turkish firefighting aircraft missing ‌on⁤ its return flight ​from Croatia was found​ in a forested area.

Yumakli wrote on the​ Turkish messaging app Sosyal that contact wiht​ the pilot​ was lost during ⁢the return trip from Croatia. The aircraft’s wreckage was⁢ located near the city of Senj in ‍western Croatia. Regrettably, the pilot died in the crash.

the‍ Turkish Agriculture ⁣Minister added that⁣ two AT-802 ‌planes⁤ had been dispatched‌ to Croatia for maintenance operations.⁤ While one plane landed ‌safely​ during their return to Turkey, contact with the second ⁤plane was lost. ⁤In a ‍search and rescue operation assisted by Croatian authorities, the plane’s wreckage⁣ was found near Senj.
