Colombian President Reacts to New Pentagon Operation

According to the English section of webangah news Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and RT, Colombian President Gustavo Petro condemned US attacks on vessels suspected of drug trafficking in the Caribbean Sea amid the Pentagon’s latest anti-narcotics operation.
Petro launched a harsh critique against US President Donald Trump, stating: “He is a savage who wants to scare us.”
The Colombian leader did not rule out that some boats damaged in thes strikes might have had ties to cartels.
“Maybe they were connected, maybe not. We do not know. According to legal procedures and civilized treatment of people, they should be detained and arrested,” he said.
Petro described those affected as “poor boatmen” hired by cartels.
“When one of those missiles hits, it kills that boatman. It does not kill the drug trafficker,” he added.
