China Issues Stern Warning to Japan Over Taiwan

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and TASS, Jiang Bin, spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Defense, stated at a press conference: “If Japan fails to learn from history and attempts to interfere in Taiwan affairs, it will pay a heavy price.”
The Chinese official described recent remarks by japanese Prime Minister sanae Takaichi as interference in China’s internal affairs. He emphasized that Taiwan is an internal matter and Beijing rejects any form of foreign involvement.
These comments came in response to the japanese premier’s statement that military action against Taiwan could force Tokyo to invoke its “right of collective self-defense.”
Tensions between the two countries have escalated verbally over recent days. Following Japan’s prime minister, China’s consul general in Osaka also posted a strong message on X (formerly Twitter), issuing a warning against the Japanese leader.
Taiwan has been separated from mainland China since 1949. Beijing continues to regard Taiwan as part of its territory-a stance supported by numerous countries including Russia.
