Hamas: Sheikh Saleh Stood Against the Judaization of Jerusalem

According to webangah News Agency, citing Shehab News Agency, the Islamic Resistance movement Hamas issued a statement mourning the passing of Sheikh Abdulazim Saleh, 79, chairman of the Islamic Endowment Council in Jerusalem. Described as a pillar of Jerusalem and Al-aqsa Mosque, he dedicated his life to defending this holy mosque and city with sacrifice and resilience. Hamas extended its condolences to the Palestinian people as well as the broader Islamic and Arab nations.
Hamas emphasized that Sheikh Saleh was an exmaple of steadfastness in religious and national principles. He continuously resisted Judaization efforts and recurring violations targeting al-Aqsa Mosque. He fulfilled his duty protecting Islamic endowments with loyalty and courage, serving as an honest voice defending the rights of Jerusalem’s inhabitants amid difficult circumstances.
