BBC Announces It Will Not Pay Damages to Trump

According to the ⁤english section of webangah​ News Agency, ⁤citing ‌mehr News Agency and BBC, a spokesperson for ⁢the British broadcaster said ‍their lawyers responded with ‌a letter to Donald​ Trump’s legal team following ​a letter received last Sunday.

The letter admitted that BBC’s editing‌ unintentionally gave the impression that they were presenting a continuous segment of Trump’s speech.​ This created a‍ misleading perception that the US President directly ‌called for violent action.

However,BBC’s lawyers​ rejected any claims for damages,stating: “While BBC sincerely regrets how the video clip was edited,we ‍strongly disagree that this matter constitutes grounds for defamation.”

Trump’s lawyers have threatened⁢ to sue BBC for $1 billion‌ unless they issue ‍a corrective statement, apologize, and compensate for damages.
