Arab and Islamic Countries Back Gaza Ceasefire Draft Resolution

According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Sharq news network,Saudi Arabia,Egypt,Qatar,the United Arab Emirates,Indonesia,Pakistan,Jordan,and Turkey issued a joint statement expressing their support for the revised US draft resolution on Gaza at the UN Security Council.
At the end of their statement, these Arab and Islamic nations expressed hope that the resolution would be approved as soon as possible.
On Wednesday evening, the US mission to the United Nations submitted its draft resolution concerning a peace delegation and the formation of an international force to stabilize Gaza to permanent members of the Security Council.
The draft calls for resuming humanitarian aid access to gaza in coordination with the United Nations. It proposes establishing an international force under unified command tasked with enforcing peace in Gaza.
This international force would collaborate with Egypt and Israel to oversee disarmament efforts and protect civilians.
the draft also authorizes a peace council to create temporary executive committees responsible for managing civil affairs in Gaza. Additionally, it invites international banks and food-supporting parties to establish a fund dedicated to rebuilding Gaza.
The proposed resolution emphasizes Israel’s phased withdrawal from Gaza according to disarmament standards. It stresses maintaining security forces around Gaza until all threats are neutralized.
Moreover, it permits extending operations of the Peace Council in Gaza until 2027 based on certain conditions set by the Security Council. The draft encourages governments and organizations to assist in selecting council members for Gaza’s Peace Council and financing its activities.
It also underscores that governance by Gazan Peace Council will adhere strictly to principles of international law. Clear conditions are outlined regarding Israel’s troop withdrawal from Gaza Strip as well.
