UN Security Council Extends Yemen Sanctions for One More Year

The United ⁣Nations Security Council has extended Yemen sanctions for another ⁣year.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and‍ Al ⁣Jazeera, the United Nations Security Council voted⁣ to approve a resolution extending Yemen-related⁢ sanctions for an ⁢additional year.

These sanctions include financial ​measures and travel⁢ bans under⁣ Resolution‌ 2140.

The Security Council condemned Ansarallah’s cross-border and maritime attacks ⁣in the resolution without mentioning ⁢the unilateral aggression by the United States, United Kingdom, and⁣ Israeli⁤ regime against Yemen. It⁢ also called for ⁢an immediate halt‍ to ‌these attacks.
