Rain Hits Gaza; Thousands of Tents Flooded

Rainfall in ⁢the‌ Gaza Strip has worsened the conditions for palestinian refugees amid a lack‍ of adequate shelter in the area.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Shehab, with the onset of cold‍ weather and rainfall in ⁢Gaza, Palestinian refugee tents have once again been submerged in water and⁤ mud.

The report states that due to the absence ⁤of⁣ proper shelters in gaza, Palestinians rely solely on simple tents set up across various⁤ areas, leaving them⁤ with no refuge from rain⁢ and ⁢cold.

Mahmoud ⁤Basil, ⁢spokesperson for the ‌Urban Defense Organization in Gaza, said that‍ although rainfall lasted only one hour, it caused thousands of ⁣tents to become soaked and stuck in mud.

He added that conditions are expected to deteriorate further as winter approaches.

The report also mentions that ‌rainfall‌ led ‌to a power outage at Kuwait Specialized Hospital in Khan Younis.
