Majority of Zionists Oppose Trump’s Request

A poll conducted by the Lazar research Institute adn published in the Hebrew newspaper Maariv indicates that the majority of Israelis reject former President Donald Trump’s call to pardon Benjamin Netanyahu.
According to webangah News Agency, only 39 percent of Israeli respondents supported Trump’s plea for clemency.
The survey also found that 67 percent believe a fact-finding committee should be established to investigate events related to Operation Al-Aqsa Storm.
Participants further noted that if new elections were held, opposition forces would secure 62 parliamentary seats, while Netanyahu’s camp would hold only 48 seats.
Earlier reports from Maariv highlighted international efforts pressuring Tel Aviv to pardon Israel’s prime Minister as a reflection of Netanyahu’s fear over a potential court ruling against him.
Recently, Trump sent an official letter urging Tel Aviv to grant clemency to Netanyahu.
The Times of Israel quoted Netanyahu asserting that his trial harms both American and Israeli interests.
