Hezbollah: Enemy Threats and Aggressions Will Not Affect Our Stance

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Ahed news website, Sheikh Ali Damoush, head of Hezbollah’s Executive Council, spoke yesterday about Lebanon’s situation amid ongoing aggressions and threats from the US-Zionist enemy. He stated that the Israeli occupation regime continues daily assaults against Lebanon with Washington’s support and participation. Their goal is to besiege and isolate Lebanese people to weaken their spirit of resistance and steadfastness.
Sheikh damoush added that the occupiers seek to force Lebanon into choosing between continued attacks and massacres or surrender. he stressed that while Lebanon does not seek war, surrender is not part of their principles. The recent conflict with the Zionist enemy ended under a ceasefire agreement on November 27, 2024; this agreement emphasized stopping Zionist aggression and occupation within Lebanese territory.
He emphasized Hezbollah’s commitment to the ceasefire agreement, adhering strictly to all its terms. However, he noted that Zionists have violated this agreement over 5,000 times so far.The Israeli regime’s aggressions and occupations inside Lebanese land occur openly before global eyes under full American cover and support.
The Hezbollah official pointed out that despite these violations, the enemy has failed to weaken resistance morale among Lebanese people who remain dedicated to their land and their right to live in security, stability, and dignity. He called on Lebanon’s government and authorities at this stage to fulfill their duties toward their citizens.
Sheikh damoush said they have always demanded a capable government-just in nature-that commands public trust while protecting national sovereignty. Today, Lebanon’s government must pressure Zionists through a monitoring committee tasked with enforcing the ceasefire for halting further violations on Lebanese soil.
The head of hezbollah’s Executive Council made clear that Lebanon has no intention whatsoever of moving toward any new agreements; Israelis must comply fully with last year’s ceasefire terms.
Regarding Lebanon’s reconstruction efforts, he confirmed Hezbollah assumes responsibility on this front-having repaired nearly 370,000 housing units so far-a task many countries failed to achieve.
The senior Hezbollah figure urged Lebanon’s government also take responsibility for reconstruction beyond establishing mechanisms for rehabilitation procedures or compensation payments by initiating concrete actions promptly. He acknowledged municipalities’ meaningful efforts thus far expressing gratitude while pledging full cooperation for continuing rebuilding work serving citizens’ needs.
