Heavy Clashes Erupt Between Rapid Support Forces and Sudanese Army in Kurdufan

The Sudanese army has announced a large-scale deployment of troops to Kurdufan, according to webangah News Agency, citing al Jazeera through Mehr News Agency.
A military source told Al Jazeera that the army is sending extensive forces to Kurdufan with the aim of expanding its control over various areas in the region.
The source emphasized that intense clashes are ongoing between the army and Rapid support Forces in several towns within Kurdufan.
He also reported that government forces have taken control of Kazqil and other locations in northern Kurdufan.
Since April 2023, Sudan has witnessed brutal fighting between the military and Rapid support Forces. This conflict has threatened millions of lives but has remained largely absent from global headlines despite its severe humanitarian toll.
The crisis extends beyond violence and displacement. The country’s economy is collapsing, healthcare and education services have ceased, and civilians face critical shortages of food and medicine. International organizations classify this as one of the largest humanitarian crises currently unfolding, describing it as “the greatest modern human catastrophe.”
