Nabih Berri: Israel Has Never Complied with Ceasefire
Nabih berri, Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, told webangah News Agency, citing Al-Mayadeen, that Lebanon belongs to all Arabs and that his hand remains extended to all Arab brothers. he emphasized that his relationship with Saudi Arabia has never been severed.
Berri stressed that it is both incomprehensible and unjustifiable for Lebanese people not to hold a unified position regarding Israel’s past actions and ongoing threats against Lebanon.
the parliamentary speaker asserted his opposition to marginalizing any political faction and rejected internal conflicts within Lebanon.
He added, “When and where has Israel ever abided by any article of the ceasefire agreement? This highlights Israel’s inherently aggressive nature.” He dismissed claims about weapons smuggling by air, sea, or land as false and baseless accusations.
Berri noted that for the past eleven months, resistance forces have not fired a single bullet. meanwhile, Lebanon has fulfilled all its obligations under the ceasefire in southern Litani.
He emphasized that the current crisis facing Lebanon is among the most dangerous in its history.
The speaker affirmed that elections will be held on schedule without delays or extensions.
He concluded by saying unity is the only path for Lebanon’s salvation.
