Redefining Global Energy Relations: Southern Countries Shift Toward Energy Resources
The global energy market is approaching extensive changes, with experts pointing to a shift toward the sixth technological paradigm and Industry 4.0 concepts. The Internet of Things, artificial intelligence (AI), and global facts networks will require massive energy resources, making access to these resources critical for success in future technological competition, according to webangah News Agency.
This year’s Russia Energy Week-the largest international platform for dialog on energy-hosted 5,000 representatives from 84 countries and territories to examine trends in fuel and energy progress. Held under the theme “The New Reality of Global Energy: Building the Future,” the event outlined prospects across robotics,nanotechnology,biotechnology,and AI. The sixth technological paradigm promises sweeping shifts in energy consumption structures that will demand significant resource inputs.
Valery Abramov, economist and professor at Russia’s Financial University as well as a member of RAS and RANS academies, told TV BRICS that International Energy Agency estimates foresee data center energy consumption reaching levels comparable to Russia’s entire economy by 2026. By 2050, these centers could account for up to 9-10% of global electricity demand.
