Al-Azhar Condemns Arson Attack on West Bank Mosque

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Masry Al-Youm, Egypt’s Al-Azhar institution condemned in the strongest terms the burning of al-hujjah Humaydah Mosque in the West Bank by “Zionist occupying gangs,” calling it a clear act of terrorism.
Al-Azhar stated in an official release: “We strongly condemn this ugly terrorist crime committed by Zionists who set fire to al-Hujjah humaydah Mosque in the West Bank. This action reflects the brutal behavior of extremists who show no respect for the sanctity of mosques and harbor opposed fanaticism against anything Islamic.”
The statement warned that disrespecting mosques and attacking these sacred places is not only an assault on places of worship but also targets the feelings of Muslims and followers of othre religions. It violates all religious teachings, moral values, customs, and international laws.
Al-Azhar further described these attacks as part of ongoing efforts by occupiers to Judaize all Palestine and alter its religious and historical heritage. The institution issued a warning about the dangers posed if this terrorist policy continues.
Al-Azhar called on the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities regarding this matter.
