UNRWA: Israel Violates International Law

The Deputy Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency declared that Israel, as an occupying power, does not comply with international humanitarian law.
The Deputy Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) told The Guardian that Israel is violating international law by continuing to restrict aid flow into Gaza.
The UNRWA official added that pressure must increase on Israel to guarantee an unrestricted flow of assistance into Gaza. With winter approaching and famine ongoing, humanitarian aid must be allowed in.
He emphasized that Israel, as an occupying power, does not abide by international humanitarian law.
This comes after UNRWA previously reported that heavy rainfall in the Gaza Strip has worsened the humanitarian situation. Many families are seeking shelter wherever possible, including temporary tents.
