Turkey Announces Readiness to Deploy Troops to Gaza

Turkey’s Foreign Minister announced that ​the contry is ready‍ to deploy ⁤military forces to Gaza.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and⁢ Russia Al-Youm, Turkish Foreign Minister⁤ Hakan Fidan‍ stated that⁤ Ankara is prepared to send military troops to Gaza ‍if ⁤the necessary conditions are met.

He emphasized that any troop deployment ‍would occur only after approval from the United Nations Security Council regarding the relevant plan.

Fidan ⁤further noted that‌ the individuals designated to manage Gaza have⁤ been identified,​ and Hamas is willing to hand over governance of the Gaza Strip ⁣to a committee⁣ responsible for administering the‌ area.

Speaking about the war in Ukraine,he said the conflict is nearing ‍its end,with a new round of peace​ negotiations ⁤likely forthcoming.

Fidan added that ​at the start of ⁤the war, some parties‍ in America and ‌Europe sought to prolong it.Though,‌ he asserted that now Washington‍ shares Ankara’s view on ending the conflict promptly.

The turkish foreign minister stressed that all​ conditions for a ceasefire are in place. He called on mediators to act‌ at an appropriate time ⁣and‍ location and initiate a⁣ political resolution process.

He said Turkey remains actively engaged ‌in ⁢these efforts and expects results soon.

Fidan also highlighted how clashes between Kyiv and Moscow have expanded into a “drone‍ war,” suggesting future talks between Russia and Ukraine could take place⁤ in Turkey or elsewhere.

regarding U.S. sanctions relief linked‌ with Turkey’s ‌purchase of Russia’s S-400 defense system, Fidan recalled former President Donald Trump had previously ordered lifting sanctions imposed on Turkey following this acquisition.
