Hezbollah Urges Lebanese Government to Return to Its Four Main Priorities

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and the newspaper Al-Akhbar, Hassan Ezzedine, a member of the Loyalty to Resistance bloc in LebanonS parliament, called for refocusing Lebanon’s political priorities on resisting occupation and fully adhering to the provisions of UN Resolution 1701.
During a meeting with a Palestinian delegation, Ezzedine emphasized that the Lebanese government must restore its original priorities: compelling the enemy to cease fire, halting antagonistic actions, withdrawing from territories occupied within Lebanon, and securing the release of detainees.
He stressed that these elements are agreed upon within Resolution 1701 but noted that “the enemy” continues to violate its terms with green light support from its American backer.
The senior Hezbollah official described ongoing regional conflicts centered around the Palestinian issue. He added: “In the American project targeting our region, Israel is merely a tool-not vice versa. The real aim is control over regional resources such as oil, civilization heritage, and waterways.”
Welcoming members of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine delegation, Ezzedine asserted that despite Israel’s technological superiority, it ”has never decisively won any battle.”
He added that victory requires both weapons and willpower-qualities possessed by resistance but lacking in their enemy.
The Lebanese parliamentarian further remarked: “America wields power logic but cannot rule through oppression as governance endures through justice not tyranny; this is why this issue remains ongoing.”
During this visit, Youssef Ahmed-head of Lebanon’s democratic Front for Liberation of Palestine-expressed gratitude for Ezzedine’s stances. He said this meeting reflects continued engagement with resistance in lebanon after all major supports and sacrifices made on behalf of Palestine and Palestinians remain ongoing.
Ahmed underscored unity against aggression and explained that this meeting aimed at reaffirming solidarity among all resistance forces confronting Zionist projects.
