Mexicans Protest Against Government Security Policies

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency⁢ and Anadolu Agency,⁣ demonstrations against the Mexican government’s security policies​ turned violent in the capital. Media⁣ reports ⁣indicate that 20 people were injured.

The protests, reportedly‌ involving students, farmers,⁤ opposition party ​representatives, and numerous citizens, were organized to denounce violence and insecurity caused by organized crime that has plagued the country⁢ for years.

Demonstrators also used the killing of Carlos Manzo, mayor of Oruapan in Michoacán state on ⁢November 1, 2025 during the “festival of Light,” as a focal point for their protest.

The protesters emphasized ‍that even with a change in government, security conditions⁢ have not improved. ⁢They called for continued recognition of victims of violence.
