Rebels Attack Hospital in Congo; 20 Civilians Killed
At least 20 civilians were killed in an attack by rebel forces of the Democratic Forces Coalition on a medical center in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Anadolu Agency via Mehr News Agency, reports that at least 20 civilians died following an assault on a medical center in North Kivu province, eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
The rebel group known as the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) has been identified as responsible for the attack on the medical facility.
Attackers set fire to several hospital rooms and looted medical equipment.
Rebel attacks across various regions of the Democratic Republic of Congo have caused thousands of deaths and injuries since 2014, displacing hundreds of thousands from their homes in affected areas.
