According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing RIA Novosti via Mehr News Agency, Russia’s Ministry of Defense issued a statement today, Sunday, confirming the interception and destruction of Ukrainian drones over several areas.
The ministry reported that its air defense systems tracked and shot down 16 Ukrainian drones within a three-hour period this afternoon across three Russian regions.
The statement detailed: “This afternoon, during a three-hour timeframe, we destroyed 16 Ukrainian drones over the Kursk, Bryansk, and Belgorod regions.”
The ministry emphasized that Moscow prioritizes countering antagonistic aerial threats above its territory.
