Trump Signals Possible Talks with Maduro

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing France 24, U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters, “We might have talks with Maduro, we’ll see what happens. They are willing to talk.”
Responding to journalists’ questions,he added,”Venezuela wants to negotiate. What does that mean? You tell me; I don’t no… I talk to whoever.”
This comes as Washington announced plans to designate the so-called “Cartel de los Soles,” which it claims is led by Maduro, as a terrorist organization.
Effective November 24, this decision follows Washington’s expansion of its military presence in the Caribbean Sea and its targeting of vessels near Venezuela’s borders under the pretext of combating drug traffickers.
The U.S. has provided no details confirming that those targeted in more than 20 strikes across the Caribbean and eastern Pacific were indeed traffickers.Experts warn that even if drug traffickers are targeted, such operations constitute extrajudicial killings.
