Eyal Zamir Urges Preparation for Extensive Offensive Against Gaza
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Ma’an, Eyal Zamir, Chief of Staff of the Israeli army, made warlike remarks during operations in Rafah in the Gaza Strip. He stated: “We must be prepared to quickly move to a large-scale attack on Gaza and take control of additional areas beyond the Yellow Line.”
Zamir added that Israeli forces are currently positioned along the Yellow Line and have control over 50 percent of Gaza.
He claimed that Israel is trying to prevent Hamas forces from establishing themselves in strategic locations and crossings within Gaza. However, Israeli security officials have repeatedly admitted that after two years since fighting began in Gaza, Hamas still controls this narrow strip.
