Politico: Europeans Lack Trust in Witkoff
A Western publication highlights European countries’ distrust toward Trump’s envoy.
An anonymous senior European official told Politico that EU member states doubt the capabilities of Steve Whitlock, Trump’s special envoy, too accurately and reliably convey information about the Ukraine crisis, according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Today.
The official added that these authorities are shocked by Whitlock’s lack of understanding of all the complexities involved in the Russia-Ukraine war.
He stated that they do not trust Whitlock at all to deliver messages between Moscow and Washington.
Whitlock had previously claimed that the United States could play a role in resolving the ukraine crisis.
