Deadly Accident in Medina: Dozens of Indian Umrah Pilgrims Killed

The collision between a bus transporting Indian Umrah pilgrims and a fuel tanker in Medina resulted in both vehicles catching fire and dozens of Indian nationals losing thier lives, according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Al-youm.
The bus was en route from Mecca to Medina when the accident occurred early Monday morning in the Al-Mafrahah district. both vehicles were engulfed in flames following the crash.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his condolences to the victims’ families and confirmed that Indian authorities are coordinating with Saudi officials regarding the incident.
India’s Foreign Minister S.J. Shankar stated that the Indian Embassy in Riyadh and consulate in Jeddah are actively assisting the injured and their families.
