Jalbou Prison Torture: From Broken Hands and Ribs to Dogs Entering Cells

According to the English section of webangah news Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Shehab News Agency, Palestinian sources reported severe beatings of detainee Abdullah Al-Barghouthi at Gilboa Prison.
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Affairs Office stated in a release that Israeli guards at Gilboa Prison have systematically and repeatedly subjected Abdullah Al-Barghouthi to physical abuse for over 25 months.
The statement added that guards enter his cell day and night accompanied by dogs. After restraining him,three officers beat him severely with sticks,causing deep wounds and heavy bleeding. The detainees can only tend to their injuries using torn pieces of clothing and basic materials.
The report noted that these actions represent the enforcement of threats made by Itamar ben-Gvir, Israel’s far-right Minister of Public Security, regarding the execution of prisoners.
Moreover, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Affairs Office disclosed that for three months Al-Barghouthi has suffered serious fractures in his right elbow and palm without receiving any medical treatment. he also reportedly suffers from a broken left pinky finger, two fractured ribs on his right side, and torn hand tendons.
