Intense Clash Between Two Generals’ Forces in Sudan’s Kordofan

According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Al Jazeera,intense clashes are ongoing in Kordofan between Sudan’s army under General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and the Rapid Support Forces led by General Mohamed hamdan Dagalo,known as Hemeti.
A senior military source told Al Jazeera that the Sudanese army under al-Burhan has taken control of the umsila area in North Kordofan.
Meanwhile, sources affiliated wiht the Rapid Support Forces reported that the siege on Sudanese army troops in Babnoseh city in West Kordofan is tightening, with RSF forces on the verge of capturing the city.
The conflict between these rival generals, who command the army and a paramilitary group respectively, began in April 2023. In recent weeks, it has shifted eastward as the Rapid Support Forces have consolidated thier control over western parts of this war-torn country now entering its third year of civil war.
The arrival of weapons has escalated fighting. The United Nations states this conflict has triggered the world’s largest displacement crisis. More than 12 million people have been uprooted from their homes while tens of thousands have been killed or injured. The UN also confirms famine conditions exist in some areas across Sudan.
