Zelensky Details Ukraine’s 10-Year Arms Agreement with France

According to the English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency and the French television network france 24, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with French president Emmanuel Macron in paris on Monday. Zelensky announced that Ukraine will receive 100 Rafale fighter jets from France.
After their meeting, Zelensky told reporters that their agreement with France covers the purchase of 100 Rafale fighters, missile systems, air defense units, and guided bombs. He added that a strategic pact signed between the two countries will be valid for ten years starting next year.
Earlier, President Macron stated that Russia continues its efforts to control Ukrainian territory while failing to honor its commitments. He confirmed that France’s deal with Ukraine involves delivering 100 fully equipped Rafale fighter jets. Macron emphasized that the European Union must maintain financial support for Ukraine.”We are working to guarantee Ukraine’s sovereignty and fully support Kyiv’s armed forces’ rebuilding efforts to prevent any new Russian aggression,” he said. “I have complete confidence in president Zelensky and the people of Ukraine to meet these challenges. If ukraine is not strong, Russia will violate its obligations.” He also affirmed continuing coordinated sanctions against Russia alongside the United States.
