Reactions to UN Security Council Resolution on Gaza
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera Qatar via Mehr News agency, Hamas issued a statement declaring that the recent UN Security Council resolution falls short of addressing the political and human rights demands of the palestinian people, particularly those in Gaza.
The statement said the resolution imposes an international trusteeship mechanism over Gaza that is unacceptable to both Palestinians and their factions.
Hamas emphasized that this resolution serves the objectives of the Israeli regime-goals it failed to achieve through its destructive war.
The movement warned that the resolution separates Gaza from othre parts of Palestinian territories and attempts to enforce new realities on the ground.
Hamas also stated that assigning roles such as disarming resistance forces to international actors in Gaza undermines any claim of neutrality by these forces.
