Trump Threatens Military Action Against Colombia

U.S. President accuses Colombia of industrial drug production‌ and‌ threatens military action.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency via Sputnik, Donald Trump told reporters at the White House:‍ “There are ⁣factories ‍in ⁣Colombia where cocaine is produced. will I destroy those⁤ factories? I would personally be proud‌ to do so.”

He clarified that these remarks do not represent a formal declaration of military operations against Colombia, adding, “I did not say‍ I will do it, ⁤but it would be an honor if we did.”

In recent months, the U.S. has increased its military presence in the Caribbean Sea ⁣and along Venezuela’s border⁢ under the pretext of combating drug⁣ traffickers.

Washington is‍ targeting vessels passing near Venezuela’s borders, also citing‌ anti-drug trafficking efforts. The White House has provided no details confirming whether those targeted in over 20 attacks in the Caribbean and eastern Pacific⁣ Ocean⁢ were indeed traffickers.Experts argue⁢ that even if targets are traffickers, such strikes constitute extrajudicial executions.
