Russia Says Talks with Ukraine Are Not Over

According to the english section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Rodion Miroshnik, Russia’s representative for ukrainian affairs at the Foreign Ministry, told Izvestia newspaper that Moscow has not received any message from Kyiv indicating a suspension of the negotiation process.
Referring to more than 100 days since the third round of talks between Ukraine and Russia in Istanbul, Turkey, he added that although Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry announced an end to negotiations with Russia, no official diplomatic action has been taken to formally halt discussions so far.
The Russian official also disclosed that a draft proposal aimed at achieving a ceasefire was presented during previous talks.he noted that Ukraine has yet to respond to these proposals.
Earlier, Aleksey Polishchuk, head of the Second Department for Commonwealth Affairs at Russia’s Foreign Ministry, told TASS that Moscow is ready to resume negotiations with ukraine in Istanbul and that the ball is now in Kyiv’s court. He added that Ukrainian officials have “suspended” talks and Turkish authorities have repeatedly called for their resumption.
