Warning Issued Over Presence of Zionist Software in Samsung Mobile Phones

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, the digital security support platform for West Asia and North Africa, known as SMEX and headquartered in Beirut, has issued a warning about an app called “App Cloud.” This program comes pre-installed by default on Samsung Galaxy phones, especially on models from the A and M series.
“App Cloud” is offered as an undeletable default app on these phones. Its privacy policy is not publicly available online, nor is there an option to disable it.
The main concern arises from the fact that this app’s owner is linked to the Zionist company ”IronSource,” which operates under the US-based parent company Unity. IronSource has a negative history related to data collection without user consent.
Even though SMEX issued warnings about this software as February last year, wider attention emerged after a tweet was posted by “International Cyber Digest” on X (formerly Twitter). The tweet discussed an Israeli spyware submission that cannot be removed from Samsung mobile phones. This post has garnered seven million views across social media platforms.
Al Jazeera reports that “App Cloud” represents a notable threat for Samsung users in West Asia and North Africa. The concerns extend beyond covert collection of personal user data; due to its link with an Israeli company, there are also legal, ethical, and security implications involved.
“App Cloud” is a 30MB default application designed to install other apps onto users’ devices. It collects details about apps you use as well as your categories of interest and than suggests new applications and games accordingly.
Privacy analysts reveal that this app functions as a comprehensive system for data harvesting and monitoring user behaviour. It collects device information, geolocation data, and biometric fingerprints. The critical issue remains its inability to be easily uninstalled by users.
