Trump Claims Gaza Resolution Will Help Global Peace
According to the English section of webangah News agency, citing mehr News Agency and Anadolu, U.S. President Donald Trump posted on the social media platform Truth Social, congratulating the world for the United Nations Security Council’s remarkable vote.
Trump stated that the approval of the Gaza resolution by the UN Security Council will lead to greater peace worldwide.
Praising the United Nations, its 15-member Security Council, and supporters among Islamic and Arab countries-including Qatar, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, turkey, and Jordan-he added that more exciting news regarding members of the peace delegation and related issues will be announced in coming weeks.
The UN Security Council meeting took place Monday night in New York time (early Tuesday Tehran time) to discuss draft resolutions proposed by the U.S. and Russia concerning Gaza. The U.S. resolution on Gaza was adopted with 13 votes in favor.
Thirteen council members voted yes on the U.S. draft resolution regarding Gaza while Russia and China abstained. The resolution establishes a legal framework for creating a peace delegation and an international force to stabilize a ceasefire in Gaza.
