Vitaliy Vitkaf Meets Zelensky in Turkey for Talks

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Reuters, Steve Witkoff, the U.S. President’s special envoy, will visit turkey on Wednesday, November 19, to participate in talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Turkish sources told Reuters that this meeting is part of Washington’s diplomatic efforts to advance the peace process in Ukraine.
Zelensky previously stated that after his visit to Spain, he would travel to Turkey and that Ukraine is ready to present its initiatives for ending the war and negotiating with Russia.
Witkoff has met several times before with Russian President Vladimir putin in Moscow.
Ukrainian officials have declared they are not willing to hold direct negotiations with Russia. They claim Russia’s excessive demands caused previous negotiation rounds held in Istanbul to fail.
