London Condemns Rapid Support Forces’ Atrocities in Al-Fashir

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing al Jazeera via Mehr News Agency, UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper stated on Tuesday that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Al-Fashir are using starvation and rape as tactics in their war against civilians.
cooper warned that Sudan is likely to witness further atrocities unless swift action is taken. She stressed that both sides of the conflict must allow safe passage for civilians and medical aid workers.
She added, “We urgently call for a three-month ceasefire in Sudan. Ultimately, we need a permanent ceasefire followed by a serious political process.”
the Sudanese Doctors Network previously reported 32 cases of sexual assault against girls in Al-Fashir within one week after RSF forces attacked the city.
The network explained that some assaults occurred after RSF entered Al-Fashir, while others happened during attempts to flee toward nearby stables.
The organization condemned the repeated sexual violence against women and girls in Al-fashir and held the Rapid Support Forces responsible for these acts.
