Islamic Jihad: UN Security Council Resolution Is a US Coup Against the Negotiation Process

The spokesperson for the ​Palestinian Islamic ⁤Jihad movement told Al Jazeera that they reject the United Nations Security Council⁣ resolution on Gaza, describing it as an American coup against ongoing⁣ negotiations, ​according​ to webangah News Agency.

He ⁤added that they had fully honored their commitments under the‌ ceasefire agreement ​and were preparing⁢ for its ⁣second phase when the imposition of international‌ trusteeship​ over the Palestinian people⁤ shocked them.

The spokesman emphasized‌ that this form​ of UN Security Council resolution is essentially a blueprint for igniting conflict ‌across the entire region.

He ‍stated, “We will treat any international force ‍entering Gaza without our peopleS​ consent⁤ as an occupying force.”

The UN Security Council held a session on​ Monday night New York time (early‌ Tuesday in Tehran) to discuss a US-proposed⁢ plan regarding the Gaza Strip.

Thirteen Security Council members voted in favor of ​the US draft resolution on Gaza, while Russia and ‍China abstained.
