Hamas Condemns Israel’s Attack on Lebanon
According to the English section of webangah news Agency, citing palestinian Shehab News Agency, the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s attack on a densely populated area of the Ain al-Hilweh camp in southern Lebanon.
The statement described this Israeli aggression as a brutal attack against defenseless Palestinians and a violation of Lebanese sovereignty.
Hamas denied Israeli military claims that the targeted site was an educational complex belonging to their movement.
The group added that these allegations were fabricated to justify their criminal aggression and incite violence against Palestinian camps and people.
The statement further clarified that what was struck was actually a sports field used by camp residents.
Hamas announced that several young Palestinians present on the sports ground were deliberately targeted by Israel.
Hamas held the Zionist occupation regime fully responsible for this heinous crime against both Palestinians and Lebanese civilians.
A few hours earlier, the Zionist enemy launched a drone attack on ain al-Hilweh camp in Sidon city, southern Lebanon, killing 13 people and injuring several others.
In recent days, Israel has repeatedly violated ceasefire agreements and targeted various areas across Lebanon.
