Students Wounded in Israeli Regime Attack on Southern Lebanon
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing the Lebanese National News Agency via Mehr News Agency, an Israeli drone strike targeted a vehicle in Nabatieh, southern Lebanon. A school bus carrying students traveling behind the targeted vehicle was also hit.
The Lebanese National News Agency reported that several students were injured, and one was killed in the attack.
This strike came just hours after at least 13 people were killed in an Israeli air raid on the Ain al-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp in Sidon, southern Lebanon.
Tensions have escalated across southern Lebanon over recent weeks.Despite ceasefire agreements, the Israeli army continues to violate Lebanese airspace.
As Israel’s attacks on Lebanon began in October 2023, more than 4,000 people have been killed and nearly 17,000 wounded. Under the ceasefire declared in November 2024, Israel was scheduled to withdraw from southern Lebanon by January 2025; tho, it has only partially pulled back it’s forces and maintains a military presence at five border bases.
