Poland to close Russian consulate in Gdansk following accusations against Moscow over bombing of a key railway line
According to teh English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and the Associated Press, Poland announced it will shut down the Russian consulate in Gdansk in response to a bombing on a vital railway line within its territory.
Polish Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski stated that he has revoked the diplomatic mission’s accreditation.
State media in Poland reported on Wednesday that several individuals have been detained in connection with the attack on this key railway route.
Warsaw had previously accused Russia of orchestrating an explosion targeting this same railway line near the Ukrainian border. Moscow has strongly denied these allegations.
