Trump Issues Conflicting Statements on Sudan

While Trump had stated just hours earlier⁢ that⁤ he ‌had⁣ no plans‍ to intervene in the conflicts⁣ in Sudan, he ‍reversed ⁣his stance and adopted a⁤ contradictory position on the country.

According to⁢ the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, ⁢former U.S. ⁢President Donald⁣ Trump announced that the United States, in cooperation with Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and other regional partners, will work to end ⁢the ‍”tragedies” in Sudan and achieve stability.

Trump added that there is potential to rectify ‍Sudan’s situation‍ through coordination with other countries, ‍including wealthy nations ⁣in the region.

He ⁣said Arab‌ leaders-especially Saudi ⁣Arabia’s crown Prince-have urged him to⁢ use all‍ presidential influence available to stop what⁢ is happening in Sudan.

Trump described⁢ Sudan’s situation as “horrific,” characterizing it as now‌ being one of the “most violent ⁤places” experiencing its “largest humanitarian crisis.”

In ⁣response, Sudan’s Sovereign ‍Council ⁢declared its readiness to⁤ engage with both the United States and Saudi Arabia toward achieving the peace desired by its people.

The Sovereign Council also ⁢emphasized that Sudan welcomes efforts by Saudi Arabia and America to establish a “just and equitable” peace within the country.
