Lebanon’s Deputy Prime Minister Visits Damascus for Meeting with Joulani

The self-declared president of Syria and Lebanon’s deputy prime minister discussed the issue of missing persons,⁢ border matters, and⁣ ways to develop bilateral relations.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News‌ Agency,​ Lebanon’s Deputy Prime Minister Tarek Metri visited Damascus for⁣ an official​ trip and met with⁣ Abu Muhammad al-Julani, the self-declared president of Syria.

The Lebanese National News Agency reported that during the visit, Metri held a series of meetings with officials from al-Julani’s administration, including Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shibani and justice Minister Mazhar‍ Elvis. These discussions focused on joint issues such as detainees, missing persons, and border concerns.

The talks also emphasized the importance of ‍continuing ⁤coordination and expanding cooperation in political, security, judicial, and economic fields.

The Lebanese National⁣ News Agency stated that “this ⁤visit ⁤was part of a joint commitment by both countries to strengthen dialogue and communication while underscoring their​ shared determination to elevate bilateral relations‍ to a higher level.”
