Armed Clashes in Syria: ISIS Attacks SDF Positions
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al mayadeen via Mehr News Agency, armed confrontations occurred between ISIS militants adn forces known as the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the Dhiban area on the outskirts of Deir ez-Zor.
Reports state that ISIS fighters attacked an SDF checkpoint, prompting a response from SDF forces.
In addition, ISIS militants launched another attack using machine guns against Kurdish-led Syrian forces in Abriha, located in eastern Deir ez-Zor’s countryside.
The ISIS assault on SDF positions in al-Sousah, also outside eastern Deir ez-Zor, caused loud explosions to be heard across the region.
Since the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad’s regime in Syria, armed clashes throughout the country have not ceased; rather, thay have intensified over time.
