Flood Death Toll in Vietnam Rises to 55

Torrential ⁣rains in central Vietnam​ have so far claimed 55 ​lives​ and‌ caused extensive damage to the country’s infrastructure.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, ⁢citing Mehr News Agency, Vietnamese authorities have⁤ reported that the death toll from recent floods⁢ in central regions has ‍risen⁢ to 55, as stated by the VnExpress newspaper.

Thirteen others​ remain missing, and search operations ‍to locate⁣ them‌ are ongoing.

Local officials also confirmed that floods have destroyed⁤ 946 ‍houses and ‌flooded nearly 28,500 ⁤residential units.

Although rainfall intensity ‍has lessened​ and water levels in ‌some rivers ​have receded, flood risks persist.

The flooding, which began earlier⁤ this week (local‌ time), is ​among⁣ the deadliest natural ‍disasters Vietnam has faced in ‍recent months. It has also severely impacted critical infrastructure across affected areas.

Rescue teams ⁣continue⁤ to provide ‍emergency aid and ‍temporary ‌shelter for those displaced by the disaster.
